From Dream to Reality: How AI Technology is Reshaping Marketing Effectiveness

I personally see a world where AI technology increases people’s overall productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. There is a fine line between creating technology that will inevitably replace workers (chatbots), and developing tools that allow people to improve their functioning and output.

When I was young, the internet was all new and fascinating. At 8 or 9 years old, I began programming in Java, and creating my own projects. Working on games, I then trained in object oriented programming languages and became obsessed with the idea of AI, back before I even knew what Artificial Intelligence really was. I experimented with Procedural Content Generation, experimented with Decision Trees and Reinforcement Learning, and spent almost all of my spare time experimenting and developing Artificial Neural Networks. Even in the context of game environments and characters, I loved the idea of constructing AI models that could learn and remember in real-time. These models were self-adaptive and would segment, analyze and extract data for you.

Back then, I remember thinking, “Almost all programmers are self taught… Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could just write code that will in-turn help us understand programming libraries and directories? That will just write and implement the code for us, depending on what we wanted”. Fast forward into today, and we are beginning to see that become a reality. There have been numerous projects and case studies, people using ChatGPT to write code and develop games, create and design websites, and other code-centric technology projects. I am living in the perfect era of Artificial Intelligence and technological enlightenment, positioned to see and personally work towards my dreams becoming a reality.

Before this new wave of understanding and rapid advancement in AI took place, I positioned myself to be working on this technology I love. I founded HiveSkill in 2020 with the vision of connecting publicly available databases, as well as both user and customer data to centralized AI technology. Today, these technologies are being applied to marketing teams/efforts and sales representatives. There’s a vast amount of publicly available information, especially with everyone using social media and smart devices on a regular basis. We’ve seen that the OpenAI GPT models have practically read, and attempted to learn everything published on the internet up to 2021. When you are doing a specific search, why index and query the entire internet? Shouldn’t the AI act as a neural network, and be able to identify what pieces of information are most relevant? Coca-Cola’s AI should be largely different from what a health-centric organic food company would use for marketing.

At HiveSkill we’re working on connecting individualized AI models to marketing efforts to help to maximize ROI, decrease the overall touchpoints necessary, increase customer satisfaction and retention rates, and help to deliver personalized outreach tailored to each individual. This method of marketing reduces all of the noise, and allows companies to reach out to their customer base with the exact messaging that resonates with them, and about what interests them most. HiveSkill has a long-standing partnership with OpenAI, and have been working on these integrations and training personalized AI models for the past 3 years.

These tools help companies market sending exactly what the end user wants to see, using messaging that most resonates with them. Using Machine Learning Algorithms and personalized AI models, we are able to identify and act on potential next steps to ensure each touchpoint contains the most effective messaging. It’s only a matter of time until these tools and technology become the standard for Customer Relationship Management.
